Born 1979 in Brighton, U.K. Currently living in South West Wales, close to the sea. I produce both personal work for exhibitions and commissioned work. Please contact me if you would like to buy a print or would like to discuss a commission you have in mind.
Armed with an abundance of education, not always exactly useful, a love of words and of people, my work attempts to communicate the power of thought and the elusiveness of the moment. I hope to give the viewer a glimpse into my world: faded doorways leading to as yet unknown places, the quiet half-glimpsed moment, the potential for beauty in every situation, the tenuous and sometimes shadowy grasp that we have on life.
I also like to exhibit, enjoying a permanent space at Fountain Fine Art Gallery in Wales and, in 2004, showing work at a Consalto exhibition organised by Andreas Hulber in Vienna along with British artists Beth Marsden and David Kilvington. In fact the Fountain Gallery caused some controversy...
Becoming a lecturer and teacher of photography a year ago led me to fully appreciate how much there is still to learn about ideas and thoughts and the implementation of these into life. The minute we think we fully understand something everything shifts beneath revealing more to feel, more to think about, more to understand.
Where did it all begin? The desire to photograph is a complicated thing. The only answer I can give is that it began with the desire to capture that which I notice, hoping that someone else will see and understand what I see if only for a moment...
